Executive Board Members
We are always keen to recruit Trustee members to our Management Group. Do you have experience in any of the following areas: Human Resources; Finance; Business; Surveyancy; Voluntary Sector; Education; Care Services; Youth Services; Disability Services? If so do you think you could offer us some of your time? We also value residents of our local community who simply want to share their skills.
Meetings take place once a month (normally on the last Friday of the month starting at 10am), and last no longer than 2.5 hours. Do you have a team that would like to do some volunteering? We are always in need of teams that can help out with painting and decorating, fundraising, general maintenance etc. Or you could help out with one of our Projects! Just get in touch and we’d be more than happy to discuss how we can help each other.
We need help keeping the shop stocked, serving customers, pricing and displaying donated goods; and you can help out on whatever day(s) suit you best. Our Shop is open Monday-Friday 9.30am-3.30pm.
Furniture Warehousing, Collections and Pickups
We need volunteers who would like to help with collecting and delivering furniture, as well as serving customers. Our Shed is open Monday-Friday 9.30am-2.30pm and you can help out whenever suits you.
Job Search/Customer Service Assistant
Our IT Suite is open Monday-Wednesday 9:30am-12:30pm and you would be helping those who are currently unemployed back into work, helping them search for, and apply for, suitable vacancies, reviewing and revamping their CV’s, helping with their covering letter etc. Just pick a day that suits you! We will also help you to be trained with the necessary skills to perform your role to the best of your ability.
We are always in need of funds, therefore we need someone full of energy and original ideas to help us to do this. Hours and times would be to suit you.
You can help out in our Kitchen preparing food, serving food, or assisting the older members in stimulating activities as well as befriending. The Neighbourlink Club runs Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays 10am-2pm.
You would have the opportunity to work with young people aged between 8-19 years. Helping run indoor and outdoor activities, offering support and guidance or working in our kitchen. The Club runs Monday-Thursday 4pm-7pm, so just pick a day that suits you!
Our Rainbow club is open on Monday evenings 7pm-9pm and Wednesday’s 10.30am-2.30pm. You would have the opportunity to help out with a variety of stimulating activities for adults aged over 18 with learning disabilities. You could also come on day trips or help out in the kitchen.
We need help maintaining both the inside and outside of our buildings. This would include painting, cleaning, general repairs and maintenance.
